Today's Lineup: Maikel Franco, Odubel Herrera Back for Series Finale

Maikel Franco and Odubel Herrera are back in the Phillies' lineup on Wednesday afternoon (1:10 start) as they try to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Marlins.

On Tuesday, both Franco and Herrera were out of the lineup after dreadful stretches for both. Franco (illness) sat just Tuesday, while Herrera sat Monday and Tuesday as part of a planned two-day benching.

Franco will bat sixth and Herrera will bat seventh. This is the first start of the season for Herrera in the seventh spot in the order.

Franco is in the middle of a huge slump after his eight-game hitting streak came to an end. He is 2 for 21 in his last six games, which has dropped his season batting afterimage to .209.

Herrera has had a dreadful month of May, going 19 for 105 since the calendar turned. His batting average has dropped from .262 to .217 during the month.

The month has been bad for Herrera and the entire team. The Phils are just 6-20 in May and with a loss today, they'd finish with their worst record in May since 1928, according to CSNPhilly's Corey Seidman
