Phillies Draft Tracker: Nabbing a Right-handed Pitcher From College

The Phillies kicked off the 2018 MLB draft, by taking Alec Bohm, a power-hitting third baseman from Wichita State. 

The draft is far from over, though. 

On Tuesday, the MLB Draft continues with Round 3-10. Rounds 11-40 will finish up on Wednesday.

Round 4, pick 107: RHP Colton Eastman
The Phillies' second pick in the draft is a 6-3, 185 pound right-hander from Cal State Fullerton. In three seasons in college, Eastman had a 20-6 record with a 2.20 ERA. He had 253 strikeouts in 245 innings. 

During the 2017-18 season, Eastman went 10-3 with a 2.20 ERA and 116 strikeouts in 110.2 innings. 

Round 5, pick 137: CF Matt Vierling
This time, the Phils drafted a 6-5, 205-pound centerfielder from Notre Dame. In 2018, Vierling batted .310 with 10 homers, 43 RBIs after batting .330 with 7 homers and 42 RBIs in 2017.
