Bryce Harper will work in the city of Philadelphia for the next 13 years, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will live in the city of Philadelphia, or even in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
Harper could save a lot of money by keeping his beautiful home just outside Las Vegas, Nev.
About the house, Harper dropped $2.7 million in 2016 on the mansion situated in Henderson, Nev., which is about 15 miles away from Caesars Palace. The five bedroom, six bathroom, 7,395 square-foot property is located right off a golf course and features some tremendous amenities.
As many homes in the Las Vegas area, Harper's house has a beautiful pool and outdoor entertainment area for those steamy Vegas days, the master bathroom has an incredible mid-room bathtub and his wine cellar is stuff of dreams.
So, if you may be thinking that after signing a 13-year deal worth $330 million that Harper might be considering moving to the Philadelphia area, that may or may not be the case. The state of Nevada does not have a personal income tax, so, while the Harper family may seek a place to live in the area, he would be wise to keep his primary residence in Nevada where he'd save a significant amount of money over the length of his contract.

Interestingly, Harper did speak at length during his introductory press conference about the importance of building a family, and staying in one place for a very long time. So, it would not surprise me if Harper decided to forgo the millions he would save in taxes to make things easier for himself and his wife to truly dig their roots.
Whether or not Harper decides to live in the area, if he plays the way we hope he will, he'll be a Philadelphia legend.
