When Bryce Harper signed his 13-year, $330 million deal, Phillies fans across the Delaware Valley envisioned the rightfielder crushing baseballs to ridiculous spots of Citizens Bank Park.
Well, they witnessed it Saturday afternoon.
In the first inning, Harper jumped on a first-pitch fastball from Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela, blasting a 466-foot home run over the batter's eye in center field.
Yes, it cleared the brick wall and landed in Ashburn Alley (just watch the video above).
From the crack of the bat, it sounded destined for the seats. Turns out, Harper likely surprised the fans walking the center-field concourse and enjoying all there is to Ashburn Alley.
The majestic shot was Harper's eighth homer of the season.
