DENVER -- DJ LeMahieu and Tony Wolters had two hits and two RBIs apiece and the Colorado Rockies beat the New York Mets 7-4 on Saturday night.
Trevor Story and Gerardo Parra also had two hits for Colorado, which has won three straight at home for the first time this season.
Mets starter Logan Verrett (3-1) struggled in the same place where he earned his first win in his major league debut. Verrett gave up just one run in eight innings on Aug. 23, 2015, but was pulled in the third inning Saturday. Big Papi puts on big show, lifts Red Sox over Astros in 11th
BOSTON -- David Ortiz made sure he got to his daughter's birthday party.
Big Papi may have picked up an extra gift from the field, too.
Ortiz hit a winning double with two outs in the 11th inning after lining a tying triple in the ninth and earlier moving into 20th place on the career home run list, sending the Boston Red Sox past the Houston Astros 6-5 on Saturday.
Ortiz was blasted with white powdery spray from his teammates at second base after the victory. He later walked off holding the bag over his head.

Using Bonds' bat, Ozuna sparks Marlins past Nationals
WASHINGTON -- Marcell Ozuna has benefited from having Barry Bonds as his hitting coach in a few ways.
For starters, Bonds is letting Ozuna use his bats, and the Miami Marlins center fielder is getting a lot of use out of them.
Ozuna had three hits, he and J.T. Realmuto each drove in two runs and the Marlins beat the Washington Nationals 7-1 to split a doubleheader on Saturday night.
The Nationals won the opener 6-4 behind six strong innings from Stephen Strasburg. Soon after the final out, Washington announced that Bryce Harper had dropped his appeal of a one-game suspension and would sit out the nightcap for his behavior following an ejection on Monday (see full recap).
Foltynewicz pitches 8 scoreless as Braves beat Royals
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Mike Foltynewicz pitched the best game of his young career and it came against the defending World Series champions.
Foltynewicz pitched a career-high eight scoreless innings, Kelly Johnson and A.J. Pierzynski each drove in two runs, and the Atlanta Braves beat the Kansas City Royals 5-0 Saturday night.
"This guy did a lot of special stuff," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said of his 24-year-old starting right-hander. "Not only was his line terrific, eight innings of shutout baseball, but we made a couple of mistakes, didn't turn a (double play) ball, and he covered it up. For a young player to be able to do that, it was nice to see (see full recap).
