PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to terms on a minor-league contract with Michael Bourn and assigned him to Double A Mobile.
The 33-year-old outfielder, a two-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove winner, was released by the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday.
Bourn has a .266 batting average and 326 stolen bases over parts of 10 major-league seasons with the Phillies, Houston, Atlanta and Cleveland.
He was designated for assignment by the Braves on April 2 and signed a minor-league contract with Toronto. In nine games with Single A Dunedin this season, Bourn hit .257 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs.
Marlins: Ogando goes on DL with broken rib
MIAMI -- Miami Marlins right-hander Nefi Ogando has been placed on the 15-day disabled list because of a broken rib on his right side.
Ogando was hurt covering first base Sunday when he collided with Phillies hitter Cesar Hernandez after both had crossed the bag. Ogando said he expects to be healthy enough to return around the time his DL stint ends.
Ogando has allowed one run in three innings of relief this season. Miami filled his roster spot by recalling right-hander Nick Wittgren from Triple A New Orleans.

Nationals: MLB reviewing Harper confrontation
WASHINGTON -- Major League Baseball says it is reviewing Washington Nationals slugger Bryce Harper's confrontation with an umpire to decide whether he should be disciplined.
Harper was ejected by plate umpire Brian Knight while in the dugout during the ninth inning of Washington's 5-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Monday night.
When someone is tossed from a game in the majors, he is required to leave the dugout.
Moments after Monday's ejection, pinch hitter Clint Robinson hit a tiebreaking, game-ending home run, and Harper ran onto the field with his teammates to celebrate. Harper pointed toward Knight and cursed at the umpire.
After the game, Harper described what he said as "a couple choice words." He did not speak to reporters in the clubhouse before Tuesday's game.
