Travis Konecny Expected to Play for Flyers Vs. Golden Knights After Injury in Practice Friday

The Flyers won't have to scramble for a 12th forward.

Travis Konecny, who exited practice Friday after taking a puck off his skate, is expected to play Saturday afternoon when the Flyers host the Golden Knights, according to NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Boruk.

With James van Riemsdyk (lower-body injury) out five to six weeks and Nolan Patrick (upper-body injury) seven to 10 days, the Flyers are rolling with no extra forwards. If Konecny was unable to play, they would've been forced to make a move - either a call-up from AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley or adding Corban Knight off season-opening injured reserve.
