The Greatest Flyer of All-Time: Bobby Clarke

Eric Lindros was the Next One, a purebred of size and skill that we never saw before and totally changed the conversation surrounding concussions in hockey. Lindros created a generation of hockey fans in Philly.

This franchise's whiffs on goaltending is that of legend, so Bernie Parent has a strong case for this title. Parent remains folklore around these parts. Ultimately, he falls short.

Unquestionably one of the greatest captains in NHL history, Bobby Clarke led the first expansion team to the Stanley Cup, winning back-to-back titles in 1974 and 1975.

Clarke is the Flyers' all-time leader in points (1,210), assists (852), games played (1,144) and short-handed goals (32). He's also one of 10 players since 1950 with two Hart Trophies as the league's Most Valuable Player and two Stanley Cup championships.

Let's not underestimate his time as the Flyers' general manager too.

Clarke is the prototypical Flyer for the way he played the game, and for that reason, he's the Greatest Flyer of All-Time.

Be sure to tune into tonight's matchup of two GOATs as Tom Brady and the Patriots square off against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers on Sunday Night Football on NBC.
