The big question ahead of Scott Hartnell's return to Philadelphia Thursday night was would you see him in the same room with Gritty?
It's a valid question.
Some believe Hartnell is the Flyers' mascot because of the resemblance.

Not that crazy, right?
Well, we got our answer Thursday morning: Hartnell is not Gritty.
The beloved former Flyer will be honored during tonight's game against one of his other former clubs, the Predators. The commemoration will consist of a ceremonial puck drop, in-game features and appearances on the broadcasts.
So Gritty selflessly helped Hartnell get ready for his big night. Hartnell did the same for Gritty.
Good guys.

Gritty was wreaking havoc Tuesday night.

We can now say that was not Hartnell dressed as Santa.
