Today is a big day across the United States. The midterm elections are upon us and there is a lot at stake across our country and beyond.
Regardless of which side of the aisle you fall on, it's important to exercise your right to vote.
Many of those active in the Philadelphia sports world attempted to get out the vote today. Not surprisingly, Malcolm Jenkins was among them.
Thank you @ProjectHOME for having me this morning & thank you to all of the organizations out there removing the obstacles that keep our communities from voting. We CAN make a difference! @playercoalition 🗣 #vote 🗳 pic.twitter.com/LIp0ZzlNYh— Malcolm Jenkins (@MalcolmJenkins) November 6, 2018
In addition to local athletes and owners - Sixers' part-owner Michael Rubin retweeted this gem from The Rock - doing their part, Philadelphia's City Council thinks the election process needs a nice dose of Gritty. Hard to argue.
You may recall last week when the same City Council passed a resolution honoring the Flyers mascot. Now they want to put his beautiful mug on an "I Voted" sticker.

Dear @PhillyVotes:
We think our #IVoted Stickers could use more Philly attitude.
We respectfully submit some suggestions. #ElectionDay pic.twitter.com/AEL8HAmtXt— PHLCouncil (@PHLCouncil) November 6, 2018
There's an obvious Wawa sticker, some tasty looking soft pretzels, an homage to Independence Hall, and of course, the Gritty guy.
If they have those ready by 2020, I'd expect the biggest voter turnout of all time.
