DALLAS — It’s over.
Looking lethargic and sloppy at times, the Flyers saw their 10-game winning streak end on Saturday afternoon at American Airlines Center as the Stars defeated them, 3-1.
The 10-game win streak was the club’s third longest in franchise history.
Adam Cracknell’s rebound in the slot in front of Radko Gudas, broke a 1-1 tie in the third period. Ivan Provorov rang one off the crossbar with less than 10 minutes left, almost tying the game.
The Flyers got a power play with 2:58 left in regulation but Dallas cleared the zone five times.

Throughout the season, and especially during the streak, the Flyers had strong second periods. In this one, they rolled over and conceded ice, one-on-one battles, everything and were lucky to have allowed just one goal.
They also had 13 giveaways through two periods.
Notable goals
Taylor Leier’s first NHL goal came at 16:44 of the first period. A rebound off Nick Cousins' shot, in which Leier jammed the puck through Antti Niemi’s pads. Leier picked up his first NHL point (assist) in Colorado this week.
Goalie report
Mason had to be sharp in the first period as the Flyers were sloppy with the puck. Niemi came into the game with 1.48 goals against average and .947 save percentage in five career games against the Flyers.
Line change
Coach Lindy Ruff pulled Tyler Seguin off Jamie Benn’s line and replaced him with Radek Faksa. Faksa turned a juicy rebound in the second period into a Dallas goal to make it a 1-1 game.
Power play
The Flyers failed to score on their only power play late in the game.
Penalty kill
Dallas got one early and the Flyers ran their PK-streak to 13 (four-plus games) by killing it off.
Fights
Big scrum early in the game but no penalties. Defenseman Brandon Manning fought Jason Spezza in an even bout early in the second period.
Allen Iverson
Patrick Eaves does not practice. Every practice is listed as a “maintenance day” for the Stars winger.
Scratches
Defensemen Nick Schultz and forward Boyd Gordon were healthy scratches. Mark Streit (left shoulder), Sean Couturier (left knee) and Matt Read (oblique pull); goalie Michal Neuvirth (left knee).

The Flyers travel back to Philadelphia as the three-game road trip has ended. They host Peter Laviolette’s Nashville Predators on Monday at the Wells Fargo Center.
