Flyers Sign Forward Prospect Oskar Lindblom to Entry-level Deal

Another potential piece of the Flyers' puzzle for next season is officially in the fold. And it's a piece who could add some much-needed scoring punch.

Forward Oskar Lindblom has signed his three-year entry-level deal, GM Ron Hextall and the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The 20-year-old Linblom, a native of Sweden, was the Flyers' fifth-round pick in the 2014 draft.

He recently finished off his third season with Brynas IF of the Swedish Hockey League. Lindblom came on strong this season, scoring 22 goals and adding 25 assists for 47 points. Those 22 goals were good for second in the entire SHL and the 47 points placed him fourth in the league. For his efforts, Lindblom was named the SHL's Forward of the Year this past season.

In three seasons with Brynas, Lindblom scored 38 goals and added 49 assists for 87 points. He also represented Sweden during the 2015 and 2016 World Junior Championships, where he scored a combined seven goals in 14 games.

Lindblom will come to camp in the fall with an excellent chance to earn at spot with the Flyers for next season.
