Flyers Announce 2017 Training Camp Schedule, Roster

Let the competition begin.

While many players are already at the practice facility for early work, the Flyers on Thursday announced the official 2017 training camp dates and roster.

It all starts next week at Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey. Rookie camp opens Monday followed by main camp Friday.

There will be 61 players in camp - 37 forwards, 17 defensemen, seven goalies. The only camp invite is 19-year-old winger Ivan Kosorenkov, which was expected.

Days 1 and 2 of main camp (next Friday and Saturday) will see two groups - the first takes the ice from 9:45-11:30 a.m., while the second does at 1:15-3:30 p.m.

Before the team's preseason game at the Islanders next Sunday, both groups will skate at the practice facility - Group 1 from 10:15 a.m.-noon and Group 2 from 11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Camp practices pick back up Sept. 18-19 with the same schedule as Days 1 and 2.
