ST. LOUIS -- Paul Stastny scored twice abd Jake Allen stopped 26 shots for his first victory in more than a month to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 5-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night.
Vladimir Tarasenko, Alexander Steen and Colton Parayko also scored for St. Louis, which had lost five of its previous six.
Mike Yeo won in his first game as Blues coach, a day after he replaced the fired Ken Hitchcock.
Mitchell Marner scored for Toronto, which fell to 1-3 on its season-high six-game road trip (see full recap).
Kreider lifts Rangers past Sabres in OT
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Chris Kreider scored 3:56 into overtime and the New York Rangers beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 Thursday night to snap a two-game losing streak.
Mats Zuccarello scored in regulation and Henrik Lundqvist stopped 36 shot, including two in the extra period, for the Rangers. J.T. Miller had assists on both goals to help New York get its league-leading 18th road win, including 11th in the last 13.

On the winning goal, Kreider took a pass from Miller and buried a wrist shot from the right circle for his 20th of the season.
Cody Franson scored and Robin Lehner stopped 42 shots for Buffalo, which has lost three straight (see full recap).
Blackhawks beat Coyotes, snap 3-game skid
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Patrick Kane had a goal and an assist, Duncan Keith added two assists and the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Arizona Coyotes 4-3 on Thursday night to stop a three-game slide.
Chicago led twice by three goals but gave up three in the second period and had to hold on. Ryan Hartman, Marian Hossa and Artemi Panarin also scored for the Blackhawks.
Christian Dvorak and Brendan Perlini each had a goal and an assist for the Coyotes. Oliver Ekman-Larsson also scored for Arizona.
The Blackhawks scored twice in 72 seconds during the first period, their first goal coming 15 seconds into a power play. Kane's left-handed shot pinged off the crossbar and down into the cage at 8:44 of the period.
Hartman made it 2-0 at the 9:56 mark, his long shot zipping through several players in front of the net and past Arizona goalie Mike Smith (see full recap).
