The Eagles Stink, According to Twitter (and Your Eyes)

The Eagles took the field at the Linc on Sunday and played one of the uglier first halves of football we've seen in South Philadelphia in quite some time.

Somewhat miraculously, the Seahawks were also very bad and allowed the Eagles to stay within striking distance. But fans watching in the rain and at home were seeing right past the score.

Nothing the offense did really improved in the second half either. Carson Wentz took the brunt of the criticism, capable receivers or not. Wentz simply wasn't putting the ball in places where they could be caught when the game really mattered.

The offensive showing was atrocious.

To be fair, the Eagles defense made some pretty big plays to keep the contest close throughout. So good job defense, I guess?

As per usual, Twitter provided both humor and sadness during these trying times to be a Philly fan. Some of our favorites:

This gem came at halftime:

Approximately 400 people were calling for Josh McCown to replace Wentz.

Then when Wentz went to the locker room in the second half, things really started to get interesting:

Alas, Wentz stayed in and the Eagles went on to lose.

At least one positive to come out of the loss:
