The Eagles took the field at the Linc on Sunday and played one of the uglier first halves of football we've seen in South Philadelphia in quite some time.
Somewhat miraculously, the Seahawks were also very bad and allowed the Eagles to stay within striking distance. But fans watching in the rain and at home were seeing right past the score.
Nothing the offense did really improved in the second half either. Carson Wentz took the brunt of the criticism, capable receivers or not. Wentz simply wasn't putting the ball in places where they could be caught when the game really mattered.
The offensive showing was atrocious.
To be fair, the Eagles defense made some pretty big plays to keep the contest close throughout. So good job defense, I guess?
As per usual, Twitter provided both humor and sadness during these trying times to be a Philly fan. Some of our favorites:

They gotta bench Wentz. He has been pathetically bad, undermanned or not.— Reverend Paul Revere (@RevPaulRevere) November 24, 2019
Nobody open. No protection. No running lanes. Wentz missing. The offense is broken at every level.— Andrew Kulp (@KulpSays) November 24, 2019

Approximately 400 people were calling for Josh McCown to replace Wentz.
A gentleman in the men's room was yelling "bench him, bench him" regarding Wentz. Most ignored him. He then exclaimed "Josh McCown" before the room erupted in a sad laughter. ::End Scene::— Matt Krebs (@TheMKrebs) November 24, 2019
Chris Long on the awful botched handoff fumble play:
Doesn't look like Carson's fault to me, but I don't like the call, period. I'm sure some of you will tell me why it is.— hockey watcher Chris Long (@JOEL9ONE) November 24, 2019

Then when Wentz went to the locker room in the second half, things really started to get interesting:

Alas, Wentz stayed in and the Eagles went on to lose.
Doug is having his worst game of the year. QB sneak twice if you have to. Have to convert there. Tackle trap isn't the play with this OL. Ugh.— Tommy Lawlor (@lawlornfl) November 24, 2019

Carson Wentz flat-out stunk today. And he was hampered by missing about a half dozen key players on offense. Both can be true. #Eagles— Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) November 24, 2019
First time since the Chiefs game in 2013 the Eagles have committed five turnovers in a game.
