Super Bowl LI: Tom Brady Wins 4th Career Super Bowl MVP

What began as a physical beating proved to be Tom Brady's latest great performance, as Brady overcame five sacks and took MVP honors in the Patriots' astonishing 34-28 overtime win over the Falcons in Super Bowl LI (see game story)

Brady threw two touchdowns and a pick-six, but it was his 466 yards - the most he's thrown in a Super Bowl - in completing 43 of 62 passes that stood out compared to past performances.

"I'm so proud of our guys, the coaches, the team," Brady said during the postgame ceremony. "It's unbelievable what these guys accomplished this season."

In addition to his passing numbers, Brady had the Patriots' longest run of the day, a 15-yarder in the third quarter.

Sunday's win marked Brady's fifth Super Bowl championship and fourth time winning Super Bowl MVP. Brady also got MVP honors in Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII and Super Bowl XLIX. He has a 5-2 record in seven Super Bowl appearances.
