Report: Eagles Willing to Trade Mychal Kendricks

After another disappointing year, the Eagles are reportedly willing to trade linebacker Mychal Kendricks, according to PhillyVoice.com.

Kendricks, a 2012 second-round pick, has seen his snaps decrease in each of his five NFL seasons, reaching a new low under defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz in 2016, playing just 26.8 percent of the defensive snaps.

Kendricks has showcased his athletic ability to get to the quarterback at times, but with Schwartz's distaste of blitzing, the 'backer was often the odd man out.

With a cap hit of $6.6 million in 2017, the Eagles would save $1.8 million if they released or traded him.

Executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman has committed to clearing cap space this offseason. So far, the Eagles have cut cornerback Leodis McKelvin and reportedly approached Jason Peters about a pay cut.

Over his five years with the Birds, Kendricks has racked up 12 sacks, six forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, and three interceptions.
