Lane Johnson Is Fed Up With the Media

Lane Johnson is fed up with the media.

The Eagles' right tackle declined to speak to reporters Wednesday, saying he's done talking this season and maybe for the rest of his career.

"I'm done," Johnson said before walking away.

Per NFL rules, players must be available to the media at least once a week.

Johnson was perhaps annoyed by the response to his comments after the Monday night game against the Raiders. Johnson had been penalized twice for holding.

"I think (the holding calls) were ticky-tacky [BS]," Johnson said. "You can put that in the papers."

He went on to critique the play of All-Pro pass rusher Khalil Mack.

"Khalil Mack didn't sniff the quarterback all night," Johnson said. "He's supposed to be the best player in the league."

Or perhaps Johnson was bothered that some called into question his contradictory postgame remarks about winning ugly.

If Johnson is indeed done speaking with the media, it would be unfortunate as he's maybe the most candid player in the Eagles' locker room. He's never been shy about expressing his opinions, and he was one of the most honest voices at NovaCare following the firing of Chip Kelly.
