Jason Avant is returning to the Philadelphia area, not as an Eagle, but as a businessman.
Now retired, Avant, 33, will soon open a franchise of Launch, an indoor trampoline park in Deptford, New Jersey.
"I saw a need in this area for kids to do something active, and have a place to go at nighttime," Avant told the Courier Post. "There are times when we are not as healthy as we should be. I didn't want just a family entertainment center … we wanted something that's active and fun."
The new facility will include a parkour course, rock wall, multi-level playground and even a 4-D theater.
Launch was founded by former Patriots cornerback Ty Law, who missed Super Bowl XXXIX against the Eagles with a broken foot.
While Avant's focus is on the kids, he says he will take time to answer questions about football, too.

"People love the game of football, and they love it more when a player is willing to give their time to field a few questions," Avant said. "I'll be there to field those questions as well."
The Eagles' current receivers should stop by some time. Maybe they'll learn a thing or two.
