Former Eagles Coach Andy Reid Advances to 6th Conference Title Game

Andy Reid is headed back to a conference championship game.

After making it to the NFC Championship five times during his 14 seasons as the Eagles' head coach, Big Red will participate in his first AFC Championship Game.

The Chiefs on Sunday soundly beat Frank Reich and the Colts, 31-13, at Arrowhead Stadium. As the AFC's top seed, Kansas City now awaits the winner of Chargers-Patriots Sunday to see who it will host.

With the win, Reid is now tied for seventh all-time with 12 playoff wins.

1. 28 - Bill Belichick
2. 20 - Tom Landry
3. 19 - Don Shula
4. 17 - Joe Gibbs
5. 16 - Chuck Noll
6. 13 - Mike Holmgren
T7. 12 - Reid
T7. 12 - Tom Coughlin
T7. 12 - Bill Cowher

Reid has also now won playoff games 19 years apart. That's the fourth-longest span in NFL history.

• 31 years ... George Halas (1933-63)
• 27 years ... Don Shula (1968-94)
• 24 years ... Bill Belichick (1994-17)
• 19 years ... Andy Reid (2000-18)
