Eagles Waive Linebacker Steven Daniels; Roster Sits at 89

The Eagles on Thursday morning waived linebacker Steven Daniels.

With the move, the roster sits at 89.

Daniels, 24, was claimed by the Eagles in early May after he was waived by Washington. Daniels was a seventh-round pick (232) last year out of Boston College but missed his entire rookie season after tearing his labrum early in Washington's training camp.

On Tuesday, Daniels said he was 100 percent healed after six months and was looking forward to making a run at the Eagles' roster.

"I definitely have a good opportunity to play here, make this roster," Daniels said on Tuesday. "I'm just taking everything day by day. Right now, I'm in a learning process until I get to camp and then we'll play ball."

The Eagles have an OTA practice Thursday before getting the weekend off. They'll be back in action at OTAs next Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The mandatory minicamp is the following week, June 12-15.
