Eagles Vs. Texans Live: Score, Highlights, Analysis From NFL Week 16 Game

4:19 p.m.: Phew. The Eagles were able to save their season. Somehow.

After giving up a touchdown to let the Texans take the lead, Nick Foles - after getting hit pretty good - led the Eagles to a game-winning touchdown drive.

It all comes down to Week 17 in Washington and the Eagles will need some help too.

Eagles 32, Texans 30

4:03 p.m.: The Eagles gave up two different 3rd-and-11s to the Texans, the second of which came when Deshaun Watson hit Vyncint Smith for a 35-yard touchdown and the Texans kicked the extra point to give them the lead. Nick Foles will have 2 minutes to work with.

Texans 30, Eagles 29

3:50 p.m.: After Josh Adams fumbled, the Texans went 55 yards in 39 seconds and scored on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Watson to Foreman. This game ain't over yet.

It's never easy, is it? There's 4:41 left.

Eagles 29, Texans 23

3:32 p.m.: The Eagles capitalized on that strip sack when Nick Foles hit Zach Ertz for a 23-yard touchdown to cap off a five-play, 44-yard drive. Ertz now has 11 catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns today.

There's 10:21 left: Eagles 29, Texans 16

3:27 p.m.: Chris Long hadn't had a sack in December before this game. And the Eagles had been struggling to get to Deshaun Watson for most of the game, but Long came through early in the fourth quarter. He got a strip sack and Fletcher Cox recovered it to kill a Texans drive. The Eagles have the ball and are looking to stretch their lead.

3:17 p.m.: After three, the Eagles have a lead, but the Texans are driving.

One quarter left to go.

Eagles 23, Texans 16

3:14 p.m.: How about that huge play from Nick Foles? The Super Bowl MVP put everything he had into a deep ball for Nelson Agholor and hit him perfectly in stride for an 83-yard touchdown catch.

It's the longest reception of Agholor's career and the longest for the Eagles since Mike Vick hit DeSean Jackson in December of 2010.

The third quarter is winding down.

Eagles 23, Texans 16

3:02 p.m.: The Eagles have tied up this game in the third quarter thanks to a 47-yard field goal from Jake Elliott, who missed some practice time this week with illness. That drive was seven plays, 59 yards, 3:54.

There's 5:31 left in the third.

Eagles 16, Texans 16

2:46 p.m.: Not a great start for the Eagles in the second half. After they started to get the chains moving, Nick Foles threw a pass that was picked off by Benardrick McKinney. The Texans have the ball in Eagles' territory with 11:21 left in the third quarter.

2:27 p.m.: Interesting first half. The Eagles could have tried what would have been a 62-yard field goal, but the Texans were guarding the sideline, and Zach Ertz couldn't get out of bounds. Instead, the clock ran out after starting the play with 10 seconds.

The Eagles out-gained the Texans 214-139 in the first half, but they're still trailing.

At the half: Texans 16, Eagles 13

2:05 p.m.: The Eagles finally punched in a touchdown after about a dozen plays in the red zone. The touchdown came on 4th-and-goal from the 1. Nick Foles hit Zach Ertz for a touchdown to give the Eagles the lead. The two-point conversion failed when the refs missed a blatant facemask penalty on Jadeveon Clowney.

There's 3:08 left in the first half.

Eagles 13, Texans 9

1:47 p.m.: Maybe having a rookie tight end blocking one of the most athletic pass rushers in the NFL isn't a great idea. But that's what happened with the Eagles backed up. Dallas Goedert was supposed to block Jadevon Clowney, but Clowney went right through him and strip-sacked Nick Foles and recovered.

The Texans took over at the 5-yard line and Deshaun Watson ran in a 5-yard touchdown.

At least the kicker missed the extra point. There's 10:23 left in the half.

Texans 9, Eagles 6

1:29 p.m.: After the Eagles gave up one 3rd-and-11, they didn't give up another, forcing the Texans to kick a 30-yard field goal. The Texans had a nice 12-play, 63-yard drive, but came away with just a field goal. There's 14:52 left in the first half.

Eagles 7, Texans 3

1:25 p.m.: As the second quarter is about to start, the Texans are facing a 3rd-and-11 in the red zone. The Eagles' 7-minute drive took up a big chunk of that first quarter. The Eagles had 77 yards in the first quarter, the Texans had 75.

After one: Eagles 7, Texans 0

1:15 p.m.: Remember when some folks wanted to give up on Darren Sproles? Oops. He just caught a pass on 4th-and-2 and went 37 yards for a touchdown to give the Eagles a lead. He should have been stopped at the 5-yard line, but the 5-foot-6 35-year-old just refused to go down.

Big 13-play, 77-yard drive for the Eagles, who converted three third downs and one fourth. There's 6:32 left in the first quarter.

Eagles 7, Texans 0

1:05 p.m.: Nice 3-and-out forced by the Eagles defense to start the game. Nice tackle by Nigel Bradham on third down to keep Alfred Blue from getting away.

12:40 p.m.: Texans All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins is active, but we have to keep an eye on him today. He has an ankle injury and the Texans listed him as questionable heading into the weekend.

This is a big deal not just for fantasy owners in their championship rounds, but also for this game. Hopkins is arguably the best receiver in the NFL and a huge part of their offense.

12:06 p.m.: J.J. Watt does this before every game. He finds some kids (and adults) to have a catch with in the stands. Some of them had pretty decent arms. Shoutout to the woman who was about 20 rows deep and his him in the hands.

11:34 a.m.: Here's the list of Eagles' inactive players:

Sidney Jones (hamstring)
Isaac Seumalo (pec)
Carson Wentz (back)
D.J. Alexander (hamstring)
Matt Pryor
Chandon Sullivan
Bruce Hector

11:25 a.m.: Some scenes from early pregame warmups:

10:30 a.m.: Welcome to Lincoln Financial Field. It's a brisk day, but sunny and without wind. It's a perfect day for some December football.

And it looks like defensive tackle Tim Jernigan (back) is ready to return.

8 a.m.: Good morning, everyone. After beating the Rams last week, the Eagles kept their playoff chances alive and have a decent shot at getting in, but they need to take care of their own business first. That means a win against the Texans (10-4) Sunday and the Redskins next week on the road.

Without Carson Wentz, Nick Foles will start his second straight game. He didn't have a great statistical game last week, but played well and gave the Eagles a chance to win. For me, the real reason they won last week was because they controlled both lines of scrimmage. If they can do that again, I think they'll beat the Texans.

Here are five matchups to watch as you wait today.
