Eagles Could Catch Break If Le'Veon Bell Is Suspended for Week 3

The Eagles haven't even started training camp, and the regular season might have already gotten easier.

According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell, who just happens to be one of the best backs in the league, is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's drug policy (missing a test).

The Eagles host the Steelers in Week 3. And if he's out, the Eagles will catch a huge break.

Now, Bell was originally suspended for the first three games of the 2015 season for violating the league's drug policy, but the suspension was reduced to two games. Bell played just six games last season because, after returning from suspension, he suffered a season ending injury. In three of his six games in 2015, he went over 100 yards.

In 2014, Bell played 16 games and was second in the league in rushing with 1,361 yards to go along with 854 yards receiving.

Last season, while Bell was out, the Steelers turned to veteran DeAngelo Williams, who rushed for 907 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 33-year-old running back will likely be asked to fill in again this season if Bell is out.
