UPDATE: They dominated Sunday's home game against the New York Jets, beating them 31 to 6. Read about the highlights here.
Earlier in the game, Darren Sproles moved into fifth place all-time in NFL all-purpose yards. And then he got hurt.
In the third quarter, Sproles took a quick trip to the blue medical tent and then went to the locker room. He has a quad injury and is questionable to return.
Just before the injury, Sproles passed Tim Brown to move into fifth place in career all-purpose yards.
Here's how it stands now:
Jerry Rice: 23,546
Brian Mitchell: 23,330
Walter Payton: 21,803
Emmitt Smith: 21,564
Darren Sproles: 19,684
Tim Brown: 19,682
Sproles, 36, has had a pretty remarkable career. The only player above him in all-purpose yards that isn't in the Hall of Fame is Brian Mitchell. Sproles will have an interesting case eventually.
