Eagles Inactives: Haloti Ngata Out for 3rd Straight Game

Haloti Ngata is inactive for today's game against the Panthers, leaving the Eagles very light at defensive tackle.

Without Ngata, the Eagles have Fletcher Cox, Treyvon Hester and Bruce Hector as their only true defensive tackles. Michael Bennett and Brandon Graham can also play inside.

Ngata, 34, missed the last two games with that calf injury but returned to practice in a limited fashion all week.

Coming into the weekend, we already knew five of the seven inactive players because five were ruled out with injuries on Friday. The only question mark coming into today was about Ngata.

With so many injured players, rookie Jordan Mailata is active for his first NFL game. Within a year, he went from basically knowing nothing about football to dressing as one of 46 active players on game day. Pretty amazing.

Here's the full list of Eagles' inactives:

Darren Sproles (hamstring)
Sidney Jones (hamstring)
Corey Graham (hamstring)
Nate Gerry (ankle, knee)
D.J. Alexander (quad)
Haloti Ngata (calf)
Matt Pryor
