Eagles DT Tim Jernigan (back Spasms) Out for Rest of Game Vs. Redskins

Updated: 10:14 p.m.

The Eagles will have to play the rest of this game against the Redskins without Tim Jernigan.

In the first quarter, Jernigan left the game with back spasms and is now out.

Jernigan returned off the NFI last week to play his first game of the season. He started tonight next to Fletcher Cox.

Against the Redskins, Jernigan would be missed. The Redskins are without the two offensive guards who began the season as starters, so there's work to be done inside. Fletcher Cox routinely gets double-teamed, so having Jernigan, a guy who can beat a 1-on-1, would be helpful.

He's been standing on the sideline without a helmet after talking to a trainer.

Without Jernigan, the Eagles are down to Cox, Haloti Ngata and Treyvon Hester as their remaining defensive tackles, although Michael Bennett sometimes plays inside on passing downs.
