Chris Long to Skip White House Visit If Eagles Win Super Bowl

Chris Long didn't visit the White House with the New England Patriots after their Super Bowl victory in 2017 and he plans to stay home once again in 2018 if the Eagles win this weekend in Minnesota.

Long was a guest on Pardon My Take who asked if he'd visit the White House this time around were the Eagles to visit Pennyslvania Avenue as Super Bowl champs.

"No, I'm not going to the White House. Are you kidding me?," Long said.

Here's what Long said about his absence at the White House last time: "(When) my son grows up -- and I believe the legacy of our president is going to be what it is -- I don't want him to say, 'Hey Dad, why'd you go when you knew the right thing was to not go?'"

For those just tuning in to the Eagles season, Long  has donated his entire salary to charity and has been praised by Barack Obama for his actions.

Long also spoke on the podcast about the electric crowd at the NFC Championship game.

"In all seriousness, it was the loudest stadium I had heard before," Long said. "It was just wild. Philly fans were going nuts. We had people after the game riding up the Rocky steps in ATVs and stuff," Long said.
