Carson Wentz Out for Eagles Vs. Rams With Back Fracture

Eagles QB Carson Wentz has officially been ruled out Sunday night vs. the Rams.

Wentz suffered a fracture in his back, a scan revealed this week. Previous scans showed stress but not fracture in the area, a source tells NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark. Wentz will not need surgery and is expected to make a full recovery with rest. He was listed as doubtful yesterday after a tense Doug Pederson press conference.

This means that Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles will take over as the starting quarterback. Foles started the first two games of the season while Wentz recovered from offseason knee surgery.
