Betting Public Likes Jay Ajayi, Nick Foles in Super Bowl

It's no surprise that the betting public is all over Tom Brady for Super Bowl MVP. Of all the money wagered on Bovada, 22 percent is on Brady.

It is somewhat surprising, though, that after Brady and Nick Foles (16 percent), the most money is on Eagles running back Jay Ajayi.

As of Thursday morning, Ajayi represented 6 percent of the total Super Bowl MVP bets. That leads all skill players. Dion Lewis and Danny Amendola are next at 4 percent apiece, with all other players combining for 2 percent of bets.

Other Super Bowl gambling trends:

• Nick Foles' passing yards over-under is 242.5 and 85% of the public is betting the over.

• The over-under for the game itself is 48.5 points and 58% of the public is betting the over.

• The majority of bets are still on the Eagles at +4.5, with 56% of the public going with the Birds.

• Amendola's receiving yard over-under is just 47.5 yards and 92% of bettors have taken the over.

• The public is almost split on the length of the Super Bowl's longest touchdown. The over-under is 43.5 yards, with 52% taking the over.
