Avonte Maddox Suffers Knee Injury, Out for Rest of Game Vs. Saints

NEW ORLEANS - Eagles defensive back Avonte Maddox (knee) is out for the rest of the game in the Superdome.

Maddox came down awkwardly in the end zone in the first quarter and very gingerly walked off the field.

This is another injury to a secondary that has already been completely depleted. Without Maddox, the Eagles have put in Cre'Von LeBlanc at nickel corner.

For a short time, Sidney Jones left the game, which meant Chandon Sullivan played outside. But Jones returned.

Maddox has been one of the few real bright spots for the Eagles this season. The rookie has played well at safety and now nickel corner. Remember, the Eagles lost Ronald Darby for the season and Jalen Mills (foot) is still out.
