Sam Bradford Releases Statement, Says He's Committed to Eagles

Sam Bradford returned to the Eagles' NovaCare facility on Monday morning, thus ending a short-lived standoff between him and the team (see story)

After the Eagles traded up to take Carson Wentz with the second pick in the NFL draft, Bradford requested a trade and began to skip voluntary workouts.

Shortly after Bradford was back in the Eagles' building on Monday, the quarterback released the following statement through his agent Tom Condon, via ESPN:

"I'm excited to be back on the field today with my teammates and coaches. The business-side of football is sometimes a necessary consideration. My attention and efforts are focused on the participation in and preparation for a championship season: I am committed to my teammates and the Eagles organization for nothing less."

His return on Monday comes a week before the team's OTAs begin next week. The first time Bradford will field questions from local media will be on May 17, the first day of OTAs.
