Eagles Cheerleader Showdown

Eagles football is in the airβ€”and one-way of knowing the season is just around the corner is when the Eagles hold  cheer auditions.

Sixty contestants will compete for the 38 coveted spots that make up the beautiful and talented Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders

The sold-out 2009 Final Audition Show is being held Tuesday at the Prince Music Theater in Philadelphia.

The show will run from 7:30p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  Cheerleader hopefuls will have to model, dance and answer a question in front of a crowded theater and a panel of some pretty tough judges.

Celebrity judges include NFL Network hosts Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk.

The women will be judged on their dance ability, physical fitness and beauty. An on-stage interview will close the audition process before awards are handed out.

The event is hosted by 94 WYSP radio personality, Spike, and will end the month long audition process for the 2009 Eagles Cheerleader prospects.

Although the event is sold out, fans can still watch the competition live by logging onto the Eagles website to view the webcast.

Fans will have to wait to see who made the cut when the 2009 Eagles Cheerleading Squad will be unveiled to the public at the Eagles Draft Party Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Lincoln Financial Field.
