Count Sixers' legend Charles Barkley among those who were elated to see Kris Jenkins nail the dagger of daggers to lift the Villanova Wildcats to National Champion status.
The TNT Twitter account caught Sir Charles' reaction to the incredibly clutch shot and it did not disappoint. Chuck may have even left the ground.
They also captured the sadness of former Tar Heel Kenny Smith.
Sir Charles explained his Villanova rooting interest to USA Today. His daughter went there.
“My daughter was living and dying with every game for the last three weeks, so I was really more excited for her, to be honest with you,’’ Barkley, who did commentary for TNT during the NCAA tournament, told USA TODAY Sports. “She’s been going to a Villanova bar in New York City every game. She didn’t even want to come to the game because she didn’t want to jinx the game.’’
