Bryce Harper really knows how to play to his new Philly audience.
Before he ever took the field for the first time in a Phillies uniform, he pandered the Philly faithful by shouting out past legends like Bobby Clarke, Nick "BD" Foles and Chase Utley in an Instagram post. He then rocked a totally badass T-shirt featuring the Phillie Phanatic and Gritty ala Pulp Fiction while reporting for his first day of work at Citizens Bank Park this morning.
Harper then came out to the field prior to opening day player introductions wearing a pair of green cleats made in the image of the Phillie Phanatic.
They are a custom pair of Under Armour cleats with his own "BH" logo on them as well. The Phanatic's unmistakable eyes are clearly visible. We're told they are UA Harper 3's.
Bryce wore them out to right field when he jogged out for the first inning and we assume he'll rock them the entire game, which just got underway at 3:08 p.m.
