Alleged Sandusky Victim Will Testify to Severe Sex Abuse: Lawyer

Attorney for one of the young men who claims Jerry Sandusky sexually assaulted him as a boy says that Sandusky is re-victimizing the abused boys

In response to accused child sex predator Jerry Sandusky’s recent interview with Bob Costas, an attorney for one of the alleged victims tells NBC Philadelphia that the accused pedophile is re-victimizing the abused boys.

Despite claims by Sandusky’s lawyer that victims are recanting their accusations of sex abuse, Attorney Ben Andreozzi says that he knows of no victims changing their stories and he has only heard of more alleged victims coming forward.

Andreozzi says that the victim he is representing “fully intends to testify that he was severely sexually assaulted by Mr. Sandusky.”

The former football coach for Penn State was arrested Nov. 5 on 40 counts of child sex abuse.

Andreozzi’s Full Statement to NBC Philadelphia:

I am appalled by the fact that Mr. Sandusky has elected to re-victimize these young men at a time when they should be healing. My client wants Mr. Sandusky to know that he fully intends to testify that he was severely sexually assaulted by Mr. Sandusky.

I have my finger on the pulse of this case. I don't know of any existing assault victims changing their story or refusing to testify. To the contrary, others are actually coming forward, and I will have more information for you later this week.

With respect to Mr. Sandusky's interview, I am troubled by his inability to respond to a simple question - are you sexually attracted to young boys? I am also disappointed that Penn State University has not reached out to the victims and offered counseling or the opportunity to participate in restructuring their policies and procedures to prevent sexual assaults on campus.
