The biggest question facing Phils skipper Charlie Manuel entering Game 1 of the World Series has been answered and Chris Coste will be stepping into the batters box as the starting designated hitter.
Manuel is taking a risk using Coste because he is the only backup catcher on the Phillies roster behind starter Carlos Ruiz.
Coste will bat eighth for the Phightins.
