Vick Takes Anti-Dogfighting Message on the Road

Michael Vick took his anti-dogfighting message on the road Tuesday as he spoke before a group of D.C. youth.

The Eagles quarterback was working with the Humane Society of the United States since his release from prison, where he spent a year and a half after being convicted of running a dogfighting ring in Virginia.

The Humane Society sponsored the program at Covenant Baptist Church in Southwest Washington. Vick was supposed to speak to students from nearby schools.

The QB also appeared at similar Humane Society events with young people in Atlanta, Chicago and Philadelphia.

Vick has some time off from football right now as the Eagles enter their bye week. He will be back out on the field on Oct. 11 against Tampa Bay.
