Vick Returns, Ready to Play

The Michael Vick circus was back in Philly Thursday afternoon and the quarterback was looking forward to getting back on the playing field.

“I’m just happy were here,” Vick told NBC Philadelphia’s John Clark.

The controversial quarterback returned to Philly around 2:30 after spending the morning in Virginia where his $20 million bankruptcy recovery plan was approved.

A Philadelphia Police officer and some Vick supporters surrounded the Eagles QB as he left Philadelphia International Airport after arriving back in town on a commercial flight. He was brief in his answers to reporters as he walked towards a waiting SUV.

Vick returned to the field Thursday night after two years away from the NFL. He served time for his role in a dogfighting ring and the Eagles gave him a chance at redemption.

When asked about what type of reaction he would get Vick was optimistic.

“Hopefully a good one,” he said.

We will all find out tonight if that happens.
