At the Olympics, Venus has won four gold medals, more than any other tennis player ever – save her sister, Serena, who also has four and with whom Venus shared the 2000, 2004 and 2012 women’s doubles titles. Venus also won gold in singles at Sydney 2000. In 2011, Venus was diagnosed with Sjogren’s syndrome, a chronic autoimmune disease that led her to adopt a vegan diet.
