Meet the Union's 1st All-Star

Le Toux selected to represent MLS

Philadelphia Union is only just half a season old but in that short time one of their stars has done enough to be recognized amongst the best in MLS.

Union forward Sebastien Le Toux will be playing alongside MLS’ best when they take the pitch against Manchester United on July 28 in Houston.

The Union’s scoring machine was selected by All-Star coach Bruce Arena.

Le Toux is worthy of his first All-Star nom. The 26-year-old leads all of MLS in combined goals and assists with seven goals and seven assists in 12 games.

The Frenchman’s selection is a bright spot for the fledgling Union. In their inaugural season they have managed a league-low 12 points -- only winning three of their 17 games.

Le Toux's hotter than Hansel right now. He was just named MLS Player of the Week for Week 16 after notching an assist and the game-winning penalty kick in the Union's victory on Saturday.

"I was lucky to get the PK at the end of the game and what is more important, to get the win for the team," said Le Toux.

He was also honored with POTW after Week 3.
