Third Time's the Charm for Garcia?

The QB welcomes the chance to come back to Philly

Could Jeff Garcia be on his way back to Philadelphia for a third time?

The 40-year-old quarterback says he would welcome an opportunity to return to the Philadelphia Eagles and mentor new starter Kevin Kolb.

Garcia said he has talked to the team about the possibility, but nothing is imminent. The third-string position is open after the Eagles traded Donovan McNabb to the Redskins, moving Kolb to the starter and Michael Vick to the backup spot.

The 11-year veteran first came to the Eagles in 2006 when McNabb went down for the year with a knee injury. He led the Birds to an NFC East title and a playoff victory.

He also returned last season for a couple games as a backup when McNabb broke a rib in the first game of the season.
