While camp today was canceled in memory of Jim Johnson, who’s memorial service was held at the Linc today, a few noteworthy things happened yesterday.
Jack Ikegwuonu is developing a nice ability to jam off the line and also had a nice pick six off McNabb. But it got humorous after Ikegwuonu crossed the endzone. Ikegwuonu showed little emotion after touchdown, Bleeding Green Nation said.
"Show me some high step or something," Quintin Mikell said.
"There's no flash to him. It's not his fault. He's from Wisconsin,” Omar Gather added.
Ikegwuonu also is developing a sort of student-mentor relationship with Asante Samuel, who in turn is making a big push to be the new leader on defense now that Dawkins is gone, Bleed Green reported.
Speaking of Dawkins, it seems that Weapon-X broke his hand out in Denver and will miss two weeks, according to The700Level.com.
It also seems like wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin could turn into rivals.

“When they made that pick I didn’t really understand it, but it is what it is," said Jackson about the Maclin pick. He then added that he was not bothered by the decision and instead sees it as a motivating force.
While this can either go very well or very poorly, it will be interesting to watch unfold.
But that’s not all Jackson is talking about, Bleeding Green said.
He claimed that we would net over 120 catches and is enjoying his friendly battles with Asante Samuel.
"I mean, [Samuel’s] in what, his sixth, seventh year? This is my second. “I’ll give it to him, but I mean I’m not going to let him put himself over me too much because, as you can see in our battles, we go at it. I must be great with him,” Jackson said.
As for injuries, Ellis Hobbs and Cornelius Ingram returned to practice yesterday, the Eagletarian said. Stacy Andrews took a "maintenance day" for his surgically repaired knee and his brother Shawn hit the treadmill for the second day in a row. Brian Westbrook sat out of practice, as did Victor Abiamiri, Jason Peters and Matt Schobel.
