No B-West, D-Jax or Jordan for Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles were without starting running back Brian Westbrook, wide receiver DeSean Jackson and linebacker Akeem Jordan as they took on the Falcons in Atlanta Sunday.

None of the inactives came as surprise as B-West and D-Jax both continued to recover from concussions and Jordan’s knee still wasn’t 100 percent.

LeSean McCoy and Reggie Brown started in place of Westbrook and Jackson. And, expect Joe Mays and Jeremiah Trotter to pick up the slack alongside Chris Gocong and Will Witherspoon in the linebacking corps.

In the battle of the Birds the Falcons were also without a trio of their biggest weapons as starting quarterback Matt Ryan, running back Michael Turner and wideout Michael Jenkins were all ruled inactive.

Chris Redman started for Ryan while Jason Snelling and Jerious Norwood took Turner's place and Brian Finneran stepped in for Jenkins.

The rest of the inactive Falcons were strong safety Charlie Peprah, guard Harvey Dahl, offensive tackle Sam Baker, defensive lineman Trey Lewis and linebacker Spencer Lewis. Both Dahl and Baker normally start but couldn't go due to injury.

On the other side of the field wideout Kevin Curtis, offensive lineman Mike McGlynn, offensive tackle Stacy Andrews and running back P.J. Hill didn't suit up. And, Kevin Kolb served as the third QB.
