A nine-time U.S. Rowing national team member, Nareg Guregian began his rowing career at the Marina Aquatic Center – a part of UCLA’s campus. He quickly acquired the experience necessary to turn notable results. Guregian rowed most often in the eight, winning the freshman eight at the 2007 IRA Championships. Further into his collegiate career, he went on to win the varsity eight at the 2010 IRA Championships. Internationally, Guregian won gold in the eight at the 2013 Samsung World Rowing Cup 3 and gold in the eight at the 2014 World Rowing Cup II. Recently, he has been training with teammate Anders Weiss in the men’s pair. On June 22, they won the men’s pair at the Olympic Rowing Trials II securing their Olympic selection and will represent Team USA in Rio.
