One footballer really wants to see former Eagles back up quarterback A.J. Feeley backing up Tom Brady in New England.
Feeley’s fiancée Heather Mitts, a soccer (a.k.a. football) star for the Boston Breakers, wants her man to join her playing in Massachusetts, the Boston Herald reported.
Rumors swirled that the Pats were interested in Feeley before he was released from the Eagles Sunday.
The Pats seemed like a natural landing spot for Feeley considering that they only carried two QBs on their roster. But the Feeley and the Pats haven’t recently talked, according to the Herald.
For her part Mitts was trying to steer some support for Feeley playing in Foxboro.
“I love Boston. If we can be in the same place, that would be ideal,” Mitts told the Herald by phone from Philadelphia. “...We’re just trying to see what’s going to happen.”
