LeBron James Thanks Fans, Announces Twitter Return in Video

"As you can see, I am a champion," James says in new video

LeBron James thanked his fans for sticking by him and announced his return to Twitter early Friday in a video message posted on his website hours after the Heat won the NBA title.

"Oh man, I'm at a loss for words right now," said a smiling James, who sports glasses, a Heat champs hat and a t-shirt featuring his face.

James, the Finals MVP, also explained to his fans why he took the past couple months off Twitter.

"I want you all to know that I just wanted to try to get as focused as possible on this championship run, and as you can see, I am a champion," he said. "But without you guys, it wouldn't have been possible, you guys stuck with me throughout the whole playoffs, you guys stuck with me the last couple of years and thank you guys so much."

The 27-year-old, who joined the Heat two years ago, announced he's back on the social media site.

"You guys share this championship with me and this MVP trophy with me, this MVP finals trophy with me," James says. "Love you guys and I am back."

Hours later, James tweeted again.

"I think it just hit me, I'm a CHAMPION!! I AM a CHAMPION!!" he wrote in part.
