James, U.S. Basketball Survive Lithuanian Scare

Team USA trailed late before coming back to win 99-94

Lithuania used sharp shooting to push U.S. Basketball Saturday but in the end LeBron James and Team USA had enough to take home a 99-94 win in Group A play.

The Lithuanians went up 84-82 with 5:50 left but from there it was all James and Team USA. The U.S. remained undefeated thanks to a 17-10 run to finish the game including seven from James.

Lithuania spoiled shooting around 58 percent from the floor by turning the ball over 23 times leading to plenty of American fast breaks.

Lower Merion high school grad Kobe Bryant saw plenty of court time (20:29) but managed just six points on a sub par 1/7 shooting. Bryant added two steals, two rebounds and an assist for Team USA.

Sixers guard Andre Iguodala hauled in a rebound and took no shots in just 2:30 of playing time.

Team USA will look to re-exert their-dominance after the sluggish Lithuania game when they face Argentina Monday at 5:15 p.m. EST.
