Cliff Lee's Suspension Dropped

Former Phillie will be back on the mound in early May

Former Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee will rejoin his team, the Seattle Mariners, after appealing a five-game suspension last week, reported NBC Sports.

Lee was punished by Major League Baseball in the spring for throwing at catcher Chris Snyder during a game.

The pitcher was also fined for the incident.

The MLB announced Tuesday that Lee’s suspension was dropped.

The 2008 AL CY Young Award winner expects to be back on the mound in early May pending his recovery from an abdominal strain.
