Dragons Slay Loyoloa, Md.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Leon Spencer matched a school record with nine blocks and Gerald Colds hit back-to-back 3-pointers to spark a 17-2, second-half run in Drexel's 74-58 win over Loyola, Md., on Saturday.

With the game tied at 38 with 15:35 remaining, Colds hit consecutive 3-pointers for Drexel (15-11). The Dragons scored the next nine points and 11 of 13 overall for a 55-40 lead with 11:03 left. During the run, Drexel shot 7-for-7 from the field.

Scott Rodgers led the Dragons with 23 points and Colds finished with 18. The pair combined for eight 3-pointers, and the Dragons hit a season-high 11 from long distance en route to their third win in four games. Spencer also had 10 rebounds for Drexel.

The Greyhounds (11-18) missed six shots during Drexel's run and lost their sixth straight game.

Jamal Barney led Loyola with 16 points. Marquis Sullivan and Brett Harvey each scored 10 points.

Loyola shot 30 percent in the first half but led 31-30 at the break.
