President to Pitch Energy Policy in Philly Region

Obama travels to Philadelphia area, New York next week

The President will return to the Fairless Hills, Pa. facility he visited during the 2008 Presidential campaign.

The White House says President Barack Obama will travel to Philadelphia and New York next week to continue pressing his energy policies and to attend an annual meeting of a civil rights group headed by activist Al Sharpton.

The president will travel first to Philadelphia on Wednesday to hold a town hall meeting at Gamesa Technology Corp., a Philadelphia area manufacturer of wind turbines.

He will then continue to New York for the 20th anniversary of the National Action Network. Major topics at the meeting are education, health care and youth violence. Sharpton has also drawn attention to double-digit unemployment in the black community.
